Overview

Portugal registered their first win of the Euro 2016 when they managed to beat Wales 2-0 in the first semi-final. Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and former Manchester United winger Nani were on the score sheet for Fernando Santos' side.

France also sealed a 2-0 win over World Cup winners, Germany. It was Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann's brace that saw the host nation beat the tournament favourites to seal a berth in the final.

The clash between Portugal and France is set to be an exciting one. The former has made it to only one final in the past in 2004, which they lost 1-0 to Greece. France, on the other hand have made it to two finals and have won both of them in 1984 and 2000.

Didier Deschamps will be hoping his side can manage another victory in order to seal their third European championship. A defeat fro France will see Portugal lift their first major trophy in their history.
