Several Facebook users were taken by surprise when some of their buddies and friends were declared "dead" on their Facebook profile page, earlier today. Memorial banners were briefly live on several user pages due to a server glitch.

Quite shockingly, the server glitch did not even spare the Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg's official profile page. He was announced dead in a typical memorial-banner message saying, "We hope people who love (name) will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate (his/her) life."

Zuckerberg's memorial banner was first spotted and reported by Business Insider, while the worldwide Facebook community was dumbfounded with these unbelievably shocking references.

The glitch reportedly kicked off around 3pm EST and apparently resolved by 4pm. But, there is still no word on what might have triggered the server bug in the first place.

Facebook users were in a frenzy after seeing a few of these strange memorials being put up on their friends' profile pages in the early hours of Saturday (12 November).

Nevertheless, if any of you encountered this bug on your Facebook profile, please do leave your message in the comments section below. We would love to share it with our readers.
