The battle for 2017 Formula One United States Grand Prix will take place at Circuit of the Americas on 23 October, Monday.

The race might decide who would receive the trophy of 2017 Drivers' World Championship. If Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton claims his eighth win of the season at US GP and his rival Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel ends at sixth or lower position then Hamilton will be the clear winner of this season. But he has to wait until 26 November, for the last race to clinch the winner's trophy at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

According to the points tally, the Briton is 59 points ahead of the German and currently standing on the top of the championship list with 306 points. So, if Hamilton wins the race at Circuit of the Americas on Monday then his overall points will be 331. But if Vettel manages to achieve at least the fifth position, the rivalry will go on.

However, in the final qualifier, the 32-year-old Hamilton clocked 1:33.108 seconds and became the polesitter. On the other hand, his rival Vettel will start from the second grid in the final race and he will be chased by Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas.

F1 team Red Bull is not far from the leader, as driver Daniel Ricciardo clocked 1:33.577 seconds and received the fourth position to start final race. The fifth grid Ferrari's driver Kimi Räikkönen will be chased by 2017 Malaysian GP winner Max Verstappen from team Red Bull.

Hamilton believes that although he is the leader of the championship, there is still a hundred points available for Vettel. He also believes that Ferrari will be working hard to make everything right.

On the other hand, the 30-year-old contender from Ferrari thinks that they have a good car and he has a chance to reduce the championship points' gap.
