Popular anime television series Dragon Ball has come up with its own range of outfit to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Dragon Ball has collaborated with Japanese fashion label Galaxxxy to release a range of clothes based on the anime and its characters.

It was reported that the release consists of a range of shirts featuring the main characters like Goku, Super Ghost, Dodoria and Saibaman with price at 5,800 yen (S$78) each.

According to the Straits Times, the clothing brand, known for its 1980s/90s fashion and bright colours, is also likely to release two jackets as part of the collection later this month. However, the prices of the jackets have not been disclosed yet.

Journey to the West

One of the jackets will be a black bomber jacket, according to the reports. Sukajan style jackets are said to have a distinctive embroidered style in Japan and have the reputation as "souvenir" jackets. Galaxxxy is said to recreate legendary Shenron, a magical dragon from the anime, on the front side of the jackets.

The other jacket is likely to be a windbreaker based on the anime character Cell. Its design is inspired by the green coloured skin of the the time-travelling warrior, reported the news portal. Customers can buy these merchandises from Galaxxxy's official websites.

Dragon Ball , said to have been inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, was created by artist Akira Toriyama in 1984. The series was first aired in Japan on 1986 to 1996 before developing into subsequent series Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Z and circulated in several countries in the world including the United States, Australia, Europe, India, and Latin America.
