Before Trump's speech, many political experts believed that the outspoken US president will launch personal attacks on Kim. Fortunately, it did not happen, and most of the portions of Trump's speech emphasized the necessity of diplomacy for a better world.

Interestingly, just hours after Trump's speech, commentary in the mouthpiece of the ruling Workers party in North Korea said that the country will further bolster their nuclear weapon arsenal if the US continues its hostile acts.

During the speech, President Trump also asked China and Russia to stop all trade with North Korea. As per Trump, stopping all kinds of trade with North Korea will cripple their economy, which will finally result in the decline of their nuclear programs. Trump's remarks on China will be taken seriously by the Beijing officials as the President is will visit the world's largest population today.

During his visit to China, Donald Trump will meet President Xi Jinping the ancient seat of Chinese power, the Forbidden City. He is also expected to visit the Great Wall of China on Friday.
