Gummy has responded to rumours that her relationship with Jo Jung Suk is on the rocks. The South Korean singer, whose real name is Park Ji-yeon, released her pre-release track, The Quintessential Man, and fans felt she was hinting at a split with the Jealousy Incarnate actor.
The lyrics of the song takes a dig at men who fake themselves, so that women would like them. Adding on, the Korean word for "quintessential" is "jung suk" which started rumors that Gummy has parted ways with him.
Addressing the break-up reports, Gummy's representatives said: "The lyrics of Gummy's new song don't have anything to do with Jo Jung Suk. The two are still in a good relationship. We hope there will be no more misunderstandings."
Jo Jung Suk and Gummy confirmed their romance in February 2015, but they seem to be in no hurry to settle down.
In April 2016, Jung Suk talked about his marriage plans. He said: "I'm at the age, but I don't think we have the time right now. We're going to marry for sure, but I think it's not the time."
He added: "She's also very busy, and I'm pretty busy myself."
