The current popular legal-thriller drama on SBS is going so well that the showrunners have decided to extend the show, and add two more episodes to it. The popular melodramatic crime show is reportedly being extended by one more week and it will air two more episodes on both Monday and Tuesday, March 20 and 21. Originally, it was supposed to air its finale on March 14, Tuesday.

According to the reports, the legal thriller has too much to share with the viewers and it cannot be done in just 16 episodes.

The story of Defendant revolves around Park Jung Woo who is the head prosecutor at the violent crimes investigation division at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. The main issue arises when he finds himself in prison and doesn't remember as to how he ended up there. Later, he finds out that he is being accused for the murder of his wife and daughter.

He tries his best to recover his memory and clear his name from the crime he never committed. In this course, Seo Eun Hye is the only one who tries to help him out, who is a defense lawyer by profession but doesn't hold a record of winning any case in his career.
