Daniel Radcliffe reveals he had a normal childhood despite Harry Potter fame

Daniel Radcliffe shot to fame after he starred in Harry Potter films.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is known to have one of the most private personal lives in Hollywood. The British actor revealed he was never comfortable with sharing his life in public.

In The Jess Cagle Interview, the 26-year-old actor said even with the global popularity, he was able to have a normal life. He said: "I just went out with a cap on, and you have to hope that the person you're dating is understanding and not made to feel awkward by someone coming up or anything like that, but you just do it."

Radcliffe, who has been dating Erin Darke since 2014, added: "That was always the weird thing. I think people always imagined that I didn't have a childhood or I missed out on some stuff, and I'm sure I had a very different childhood, but all those first dates and first kisses, those rites of passage, I still had them, and they were actually generally really private, I don't feel like I have to share them with the world, and I felt like they were really my own, which is nice."

Radcliffe shot to fame after he was cast to play the boy wizard in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when he was just 11 years old.
