Islamic State militants have blown up the Great Mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul on June 21, along with its famous leaning al-Habda minaret, according to an Iraqi military statement.The Iraqi militarys media office distributed a picture taken from the air that appears to show the mosque and minaret flattened in the middle of the small houses of the Old City, the historic district where the militants are besieged.Iraqi officials had privately expressed the hope that the mosque could be captured in time for Eid al-Fitr, the festival marking the end of Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month. Florida homeowner armed with a machete chases gun toting burglars out of his garden

A number of armed burglars attempted to burgle a house in Sarasota, Florida on 15 June, but were chased from the property by the machete-wielding homeowner. CCTV footage shows the burglars, armed with shotgun, machete and a crowbar, attempt to rob the victim in his backyard. Merton Police urgently want to speak with Sean Clarke-Arrindell in connection with a serious assault of a police officer on Tuesday, June 13.While officers tried to apprehend Clarke-Arrindell in a Waitrose Car park in Wimbledon, he drove off at speed with an officer holding onto the cars bonnet.The officer was then thrown from the car as it made off. An explosion in a Bogota shopping centre has killed three women and wounded nine others. A device detonated in a toilet bowl in a restroom in the upscale Andino shopping area. One of the victims was a 23-year-old French woman who volunteered in a poor area of Bogota. The shopping centre was busy with people shopping for Fathers Day gifts. Isis claims Attack In Jerusalem After Policewoman Is Stabbed To Death

An Israel border policewoman has been killed in a shooting and stabbing attack. Three Palestinians attacked police officers at two different scenes in Jerusalem. All three were killed by Israeli security forces. Both Hamas and Isis claimed responsibility for the attacks.
