Check out which HTC smartphone will get Android Oreo update first

Multiple HTC smartphones will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update, but which one will be the first?

Android 8.0 aka Android Oreo was recently launched by Google on August 21, on the very same day as when the Great American Solar Eclipse took place. Although it is not ready for a complete roll out as of yet, the tech giant has informed that builds for the Pixel and Nexus 5X / 6P are currently in carrier testing and if you are holding any of these models, you should expect an over-the-air rollout taking place "soon" which will also have updates for Nexus Player and Pixel C devices. Another phonemaker, which is working to bring Oreo to their device, is HTC. As per its tweet it's going to update its devices with the much buzzed about Android version from the fourth quarter of 2017. The first device in its line up to receive the update will be the U11 and eventually U Ultra and the 10 will get it. This is a tad bit grand, but then again when you think about it, it makes sense. If you have an expensive flagship device, you should keep it up-to-date or risk losing out valuable customers.
