With their success on Billboard this year, Korean boy band BTS topped the music chart's year-end Social 50 Artists list and emerged as one of the Top Artists of 2017.

Billboard released its year-end charts covering different genres and the boy band figured prominently in several categories.

BTS bagged first place on the Social 50 Artists ranking, which is based on radio play, sales data and streaming data. Rivals EXO is No. 35 and Seventeen is No. 41.

According to Billboard, 2017's Top 10 Social 50 Artists are:

1. BTS

2. Ariana Grande

3. Justin Bieber

4. Shawn Mendes

5. Maluma

6. Demi Lovato

7. Selena Gomez

8. Miley Cyrus

9. Rihanna

10. Nicki Minaj

"A year after ranking at No. 36 on the 2016 year-end Social 50 Artists chart – no small feat considering that the group didn't even debut on the chart until late October 2016 – BTS crowns the 2017 year-end tally, a foregone conclusion for anyone following the chart over the past year. After all, BTS led the weekly ranking for all but seven weeks in the 2017 chart year (Dec. 3, 2016 through Nov. 25, 2017), and when the seven-piece wasn't No. 1, it was No. 2," Billboard noted.

BTS also bagged 10th place on Billboard's year-end Top Artists list with Ed Sheeran topping the chart followed by Bruno Mars, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, The Chainsmokers, Justin Bieber, Future, Shawn Mendes.

But that's not all for BTS. The boy band placed No. 1 on Billboard's year-end chart for Social 50 Artists, ranked also based on radio play, and sales and streaming data.

They are followed by Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Maluma, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. EXO is at No. 35 while Seventeen placed 41st.

BTS placed first on the World Albums Artists year-end chart followed by G-Dragon at No. 5, Big Bang at No. 6 and EXO at No. 7.

On the World Albums chart, BTS' "Love Yourself: Her" grabbed second place with G-Dragon's "Kwon Ji Young," fifth; Big Bang's "MADE," sixth; and EXO's "The War," seventh. BTS' albums "Wings" wound up at ninth and "You Never Walk Alone" at 11th.

In addition, BTS grabbed second place on the Top Artists-Duo/Group and ranked 32nd on Independent Albums chart.
