Bride of the Water God 2017 recently released a new teaser and also some character stills including the main cast members, Krystal (She's So Lovable), Gong Myung (Individualist Ji-young), and Im Joo-hwan (Uncontrollably Fond) who have been absent from the teasers so far.

The story of the tvN's new drama is all set in a fantasy world. According to the reports, the story is of a village where the inhabitants sacrifice young women to water God because the village has been plagued by many years of drought. One of the young women sacrificed becomes his bride, and complications start.

The drama is reportedly a spin-off of the original manwha having the same name and is reported that they'll keep the characters original and rework on the setting mainly to a modern one.

The teaser starts by focussing on the water god who is standing with his hand outstretched and it turns out that he is using his godly powers to flush the toilet. Well, the toilet humour content turns to be funnier when the smug satisfaction is visible on his face after it works. Unfortunately it also triggered the electronic bidet.

According to dramabeans, he's first bemused at it saying, "That is enough for now, you may stop" and then starts spouting water all over the bathroom saying, "Stop!"

The said teaser ends with Shin Se-kyung who is seen admonishing him, she pats him dry while saying, "You just keep getting into trouble whenever I'm not around, don't you?"

tvN's Bride of the Water God 2017 will premiere on July 3 in the Monday-Tuesday slot after currently airing Circle ends its run.
