Bride of the Water God: Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung exchange glances in new trailer

The drama is reportedly a spin-off of the original manwha having the same name.

The upcoming tvN drama Bride of the Water God starring Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung released its second trailer.

Nam Joo Hyuk plays the lead role in the fantasy drama as he is the Water God Ha Baek, a temperamental deity who takes the most delightful woman as his bride in exchange of rain. Shin Se Kyung is to play the female lead and Gong Myung will reportedly play Biryeom.

According to Koreaboo, in the new trailer, Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung are seen exchanging glances at each other through an aquarium.

On seeing Shin Se Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk comments that he finally found the one- his new servant. Whereas, Shin Se Kyung, realizes that she has found her god.

The story of the tvN's new drama is all set in a fantasy world. According to the reports, the story is of a village where the inhabitants sacrifice young women to water God because the village has been plagued by many years of drought .One of the young women sacrificed becomes his bride, and complications start.

The drama is reportedly a spin-off of the original manwha having the same name. They'll reportedly try to keep the characters original and rework on the setting mainly to a modern one; it is to be set in Seoul.

Apart from Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung, Im Joo Hwan, Gong Myung, and Krystal are also a part of the said drama but they are featured in the trailer released.

Bride of the Water God is scheduled to air its first episode on July 3.
