YG Entertainment is all set to lay the red carpet for the comeback of renowned K-pop boy band BigBang with a new album on December 12. This album with two title songs will complete Big Bang's MADE project which began last year. The five-member band consisting of G-Dragon, T.O.P., Daesung, Taeyang and Seungri is churning out hits for almost a decade.
Yang Hyun Suk, YG Entertainment founder and CEO, teased the fans with a video clip. In the teaser, the five members of the band are seen behind a bicycle as they pedal through a busy alleyway filled with shops and eateries.
There are also reports that the entertainment house has hurried the comeback due to band member Seungri's military enlistment, scheduled for Be 2017. The album's release date coincides with his birthday. Post Seungri's enlistment next year, the BigBang member will be on hiatus for two years. 2016 marks their 10th anniversary -- they made their stage debut in 2006. They are often known as the first generation K-pop boy band as they were formed just years after initiating the Hallyu concept.
The musical album is said to have shot in North Chungcheong Province and Seoul. Apart from the album, BigBang will also hold a concert "BigBang 10 The Concert 0.TO.10 Final in Seoul" ― at the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome from Jan. 7 to 8 2017. Interestingly, Alive and MADE are the two biggest hits in their career--producing some of the chartbusters like "Fantastic Baby," "Bae Bae," and "Bang Bang Bang."
The boy band is currently on a Japan tour and is likely to take part in a number of television shows to promote their new album. The first one will be appearances on variety shows such as Radio Star, where they will have an honest conversation with the hosts and Infinite Challenge. This will be the first time in five years, all the members of BigBang are appearing on Television, the last time we saw them together was on Gangs of Seoul special episode.
Close to the release date of the album, more such teasers and picture are expected to be unveiled.
