Bengaluru Royals, Delhi Dragons sizzle of Day 7 of Premier Futsal

Delhi Dragons are leading the 2017 Premier Futsal table with Bengaluru Royals in the second place.

The first quarter of match 12 of Premier Futsal saw the Paul Scholes-led Bengaluru Royals play on the aggressive side with 4 goals, twice by Jonathan da Silva and Maderios each. On the other hand, Chennai had only 1 goal on their side, scored by Monteiro. In second quarter, Bengaluru Royals further widened their lead by netting the ball twice, once by Renzo Grasso and the other by Raducio Iwan King.

The third quarter was a tight tope with neither teams allowing each other to score. Bengaluru's Captain and star player Scholes attempted to score a few but missed them by a whisker. Indian player Jonathan got the support of the entire stadium when he scored a goal in the 31stminute. The Crespo-led Chennai Singhams attempted to make up for lost time towards the last quarter, where Ferreira and Marshall scored one goal each. However, Bengaluru was way ahead with 7 goals by then.

The match ended with the crowd cheering for their home team as they walked away with a stellar performance of 7 goals against Chennai, who scored 3.

The second match of the day saw Ronaldinho led Delhi Dragons keep a clean-sheet for the entire span of the game with a 4-0, against the Telugu Tigers. They scored 4 goals in total, in the first and last quarter and maintained the lead till the very end. This was the first defeat faced by Deco's team in Season 2 of Premier Futsal. With a brace from Diego Costa and a goal each from Nicloas Rolon and Ronaldinho himself, the Delhi Dragons not only won the game, but also catapulted themselves to the top of the points table.
