Just two days to go before the much-anticipated E3 2017, a new leak has revealed some exciting details about Assassin's Creed: Origins. The new instalment is reported to be released across all platforms on 27 October.

Game Informer's July 2017 issue has been leaked, which reportedly unmasked a few things about Assassin's Creed: Origins on the cover. The leak reveals the forthcoming instalment's tagline that reads, "As an empire falls, a brotherhood rises".

Based on the photo shared by a certain HungryGhost57 on Reddit and Imgur, the game is slated to be released on 27 October. The illustration also shows off an assassin, presumably the main protagonist Bayek, against a backdrop of sphinxes and pyramids. This is similar to the earlier leak a few days back showing a retail pre-order card.

Previous details of the game that have been reported by far include the Ancient Egypt setting. This has been affirmed by the information shared by HungryGhost57 where he/she stated that Assassin's Creed: Origins will take fans back to the time of Cleopatra's reign. Apart from that, the source also shared that the new title will have more than one playable character, a day-and-night cycle, and a new battle system.

He/she added that there will be no mini map. Despite this, Ubisoft is still slated to make an appearance during the E3 event in Los Angeles, California to announce Assassin's Creed: Origins. The game is slated to be released on 27 October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

In the meantime, Ubisoft previously hinted that the new Assassin's Creed franchise will be optimized for Xbox Scorpio, a powerful gaming console of Microsoft set for release in 2018.

Assassin's Creed: Origins has been confirmed not to use a button to sprint as running speed will vary on the analogue stick. Crouching comes back, while upward and downward free running buttons have been ditched. Everything is said to be climbed, and Eagle Vision returns through Senu.
