AOA's Seolhyun and Jimin returns to social media after controversy

Ace of Angels, popularly known as AOA, debuted on August 9, 2012

AOA's Seolhyun and Jimin are back into the world of social media. The girls recently updated their Instagram account, two months after they were backlashed for not knowing enough of Korean history and culture.

As per reports, both the members of girl band AOA have been keeping low profile since May, following a public disagreement over their celebrity status. Apparently, it all started during the broadcast of Onstyle's Channel. Seolhyun and her counterpart Jimin were given a task to fill names corresponding to the portraits of some influential people in Korea. Despite using their smartphones and hints from the host, the girls struggled for right answers. Following the incident, netizens highly criticized the two idols and even questioned Seolhyun's role as the country's brand ambassador.

Previously, it was reported that AOA's entertainment agency have been refraining the girls from using social media, however, FNC Entertainment recently cleared the air and revealed they do not play any part in the member's decision to not to post. "There is no such thing as an SNS ban. The SNS accounts are owned by Seolhyun and Jimin, not the label. They will post photos whenever they desire," the agency told Allkpop.

Meanwhile, Seolhyun and Jimin posted few messages on their Instagram to mark the fourth anniversary celebration of their seven member band on Tuesday. Ace of Angels, popularly known as AOA, debuted on August 9, 2012 and consists of Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Chanmi, Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Mina.
