Android Oreo promises a richer user-experience, provides exceptional speed

Android Oreo brings in a plethora of new updates and features to the smartphones and much faster Bluetooth is one of them.

After months of waiting, biting nails, pulling hairs, making wild speculations and, in general, treading towards exasperation, the latest version of Android is finally here. Android Oreo, in its debut, has managed to put a big smile on the face of the users who are more interested in what goes under the hood rather than outwardly show of appearance. It comes laden with features that not only make the user-experience richer but also makes everything faster. Something that's needed to keep pace with this modern fast paced world and one of the stellar improvements under its belt is the native support for Bluetooth 5.0.

If you follow the tech buzz, you must already know that this was one of the most haves for the next generation of data sharing and conveniences. The transfer speed of a typical Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection is around 1Mbps, however, with the advent of Bluetooth 5.0, we can now breeze our way through with an awesome 2Mbps, which is twice the previous speed.

This makes a marked difference when you realize that manufacturers play a delicate balance game between the phones turning into a major battery drainer and making sure that wireless speakers or wearable devices, like smartwatches and fitness bands, connect with the device without any hiccups. With Bluetooth 5.0, this balance is thrown out and we get better connectivity sans losing major battery power.

As soon as the market warms up to the feature it would create a plethora of Bluetooth 5 devices and things would be kosher. Then again this puts us at wait game. Currently, apart from the Google Nexus and Pixel devices, only Samsung flagship devices along with HTC U11 are the ones, which can give you this update. So, if you are on the lookout for a new phone and fast Bluetooth is something you would also like to have, you know what you have to choose from.
