Android 7.1.1 update is due for worldwide public release starting 6 December in Australia, according to the country's largest mobile network carrier, Vodafone. The new Nougat update will reportedly include the 5 December security patch from Google and its scheduled roll out will commence at 5:00pm AEST on 6 December.

Google Nexus 6P owners are in for some great news as the Android 7.1.1 update will debut on 10,000 of these phones during the first three days, following the rollout. From the fourth day onwards, another 10% of the remaining pool will be selected per day to receive the update, with all devices becoming eligible from Day 14.

As this is mostly a bug fix update with security patch included, it will be no different from the final developer preview of Android 7.1.1 firmware. In other words, it will have the same features as the preview release of latest Nougat update.
