Venus became the oldest women tennis star in WTA history to reach the final of the season end tournament.

It was the semi-final Saturday in 2017 WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, where tennis world has witnessed women's singles and doubles semi-final matches on 28 October, Saturday, and now fans are eagerly waiting for the final showdown in Singapore.

While the American star Venus Williams and the French Caroline Garcia fought for an entry to the grand finale in Singapore, in the second battle between the Czech player Karolína Plíšková and Danish ace Caroline Wozniacki also showed their world class tennis to finish the season with WTA Finals title.

In the first semi-final, the 37-year-old Venus defeated the 24-year-old Garcia. Although Garcia took the opening set after playing a tough tie-breaker round by 7-6, Venus showed her dominance on the court and took remaining sets by 6-2, 6-3.

After her win over the world No. 8 Garcia, Venus became the oldest women tennis star in WTA history to reach the final of the season end tournament. It is her first appearance in the WTA Finals since 2009.

On the other hand, two top-ranked players Plíšková and Wozniacki was featured in the second match of the semi-final Saturday. The current world No. 6 Wozniacki took the final victory without dropping a single set in the battle against world rank three Plíšková by scoring 7-6, 6-3.

Although, in the first set the 25-year-old Plíšková did everything to change the momentum and drag the match to a tie-break, at the end of the first set the former world No. 1 Wozniacki maintained her pace and took the opening set from her rival.

On 29 October, Sunday, both the finalists of women's singles tournament will be playing their last match of BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore for the ultimate glory.

However, according to head-to-head stats, tennis fans could find out who is the most dominant player between Venus and Wozniacki, as the elder of the Williams sisters has a 7-0 lead against the 2017 Toray Pan Pacific Open winner Wozniacki.

Both of the players were featured for the first time in 2007 Memphis. Later they played against each other in several tournaments such as 2007 Japan Open, Bangkok, 2008 Miami Masters, 2014 Dubai, 2015 Auckland and 2015 Miami Masters.

At the last but not the least, there will be another battle between two women's doubles pairs at the center court in Singapore for the WTA Finals doubles title.

The Hungarian Tímea Babos and Czech ace Andrea Hlaváčková will be serving for the final time in 2017 WTA Finals against the Swedish player Johanna Larsson and her Dutch partner Kiki Bertens on Sunday.

Both the pairs have played their semi-final match on 28 October, Saturday where they defeated world-class tennis aces. While Bertens and partner Larsson beat two Russian stars Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova by 6-4, 6-3, Babos and Hlaváčková became surprised when they defeated the Swiss great Martina Hingis and Chan Yung-jan by 6-4, 7-6.

Tennis world will be waiting to witness the last gorgeous battles of 2017 BNP Paribas WTA Finals.
