The Ministry of Education in Singapore said on Thursday that the posting results for the 2017 Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) will be released on Feb 2. The authorities said JAE applicants can get their posting results at 9 am through the JAE Internet System (JAE-IS) or via SMS.

The ministry added that the students, who will be posted to a junior college (JC) or the Millennia Institute (MI) should report to the institutions at 7.30 am on Friday. However, the applicants posted to a polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) course will be informed by mail about the further instructions via an enrolment package from the respective institutions.

Students who are willing to appeal for a transfer to another JC or to MI are advised to directly approach the institution of their choice. If there is vacancy in the JC or if the student meets its course cut-off point for this year's exercise, the JC will consider the application. MOE also said the applicants who wish to appeal for a transfer to MI should approach MI directly.

The students who want to apply for polytechnic diploma course or another diploma course can do so via the Polytechnic JAE appeal system. The applications can be done from Feb 2 at 9am to Feb 6 at 4pm.

MOE said the results of the JAE applications will be released through the Polytechnic JAE appeals website on Feb 9 at 2 pm. The successful applicants are required to accept the offer by Feb 15.

ITE aspirants can apply through its website from 9 am on Feb 2 to 11.59 pm on Feb 8. The outcome of the appeals will be available at another ITE portal from 9am on Feb 20. MOE added that the successful candidates will have to accept the offer by Feb 23.
