13 Reasons Why Season 2 to be back in 2018: Here's what we know so far

The show runners revealed that the tapes which have been an integral part of the first season will not be a part of the next show

The season two of the controversial series 13 Reasons Why is making its way back in 2018 and recent the cast of the show sat down to give out a few information to the fans about what they know about the show so far.

According to inquisitr, the show runners revealed that the tapes which have been an integral part of the first season will not be a part of the next show.

They reportedly said, "The tapes are still obviously on people's minds, but there is a different sort of analog technology that plays a hugely important role in season two. So the cassette tapes aren't at the center of it — those two boxes of tapes are still hanging around and matter to people — but there will be a new piece of technology for 13-year-olds to Google and try to understand what it was."

There were reports that Jay Asher who originally wrote the novel thought of penning down another book but later decided against it.

The producer of the series Selena Gomez is reportedly very excited about it as she said, "I think it's going to be so exciting because you know, I didn't expect the first to be as loud if you will. I didn't expect it to have the reaction that it did."

Fans were pretty annoyed that many questions remained unanswered in the first season. Though the first season was presented as a standalone piece, it ended with several cliffhangers but Gomez assured that in the upcoming season they will delve into them too as many fans are still wondering what will happen to the characters. So, it can be said that there will possibly be a connection linking the first season with the second.

However, the filming of the second season of the show has not yet started, but the writers are currently working on the plotline for the upcoming season and planning to film it really soon.
